WHO

Q. Who created the sandwiches/menu.
A. A few of the sandwiches were created by people just like you! The majority were created by Chef Steve over a period of ten years, listening to customer's needs and paying attention to their palettes and dietary habits.

Q. Who bakes the bread, scones, brownies etc.
A. We do all of that ourselves, everyday - so it will be fresh for you come lunchtime, whether it's 7:30 a.m. or 3 p.m..

Q. Who is Walt? (of the Walt Turkey Sandwich fame)
A. Walt is one of our many loyal customers who wanted a special sandwich made - just for himself, it impressed us so much we had to share it with all of you!

Q. Who is Char? (when we ask for a Char special - what exactly is that?)
A. Char worked for us once. It used to be a Cindy special but Char came after. She made the specials - extra special.

Q. Who is Tony Sacco , is he a real person? (tbe salami, ham, provolone sandwich)
A. Yep, he sure is. You'll find him hovering around - but not Lunchtime, he's an old restaurant friend who's learning to fly helicopters!

Q. Who is Chris (of the Crazy Chris salad fame)?
A. Chris is a regular customer (every day!) who wanted a cross between a chicken caesar and a mixed green salad with his own choice of dressing. It sounded yummy to us - so we gave him the honor of having his special salad on the menu.

Q. Who is John of John's Hodge Podge fame?
A. John Hodges is another regular customer who never ordered from the menu but always wanted a chef salad - as we didn't have one, we created one for him (and shared it with you, thankyou John).

WHAT

Q. What are your normal opening hours?
A. 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday thru Friday. If you require catering or advice on an event, check our catering section via the menu links above.

Q. What is your best sandwich?
A. We're asked this kind of question all the time, it's a matter of taste, we cater for everyone, if you rephrase the question to "What is the best sandwich for me, I like... (and then you explain what you feel like eating, what kind of mood you're in) we'll be more able to answer you.

Q. What kind of bread is focaccia (pron. foe-kotch-ee-yah)?
A. Italian Herb bread, flavored with basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary and garlic (baked fresh daily, here at Lunchtime).

Q. What can I eat if I'm on a low fat diet?
A. Just ask any one of the servers, they'll be able to help you from the menu of the day. Why not take a Char Special: soup (that is nutritious and filling) to start and then a salad (ask for dressing on the side and serve yourself lightly) and a bottle of water.

Q. What kind of salad dressing do you have?
A. We always have caesar, low-fat ranch, balsamic vinaigrette, ginger vinaigrette, greek, honey dijon, thousand island and Italian. (All or our dressings are either home-made or private recipe... nothing from a bottle!)

Q. What if I have a food allergy?
A. Again, simply ask one of us, we'll be sure to help.

Q. What can you offer me to eat if I am a vegetarian?
A. At least two of our daily soups are always vegan and/or vegetarian (that's anything without a face and/or hasn't died on it's way to the First National building). There are 4 sandwiches on the menu that are vegetarian and can be made ovo-lacto free. Chef Steve has over 15 years of experience of special needs cooking and catering.

Q. What are the ingredients of the schug (Yemenite Hot sauce, pron. se-hug)?
A. Cilantro, jalapeño peppers, garlic, olive oil, cardamom, red pepper and cloves (made at Lunchtime).

WHERE

Q. Where is Lunchtime Global located?
A. In the First National building on Congress and Woodward Avenue. Check the location.

Q. Where is all your cooking and preparation done?
A. Right here in Lunchtime, we get here early to make sure the ingredients that go into your lunch are fresh - each day, every day.

Q. Where can I get details of your catering?
A. Ask Chef Steve (or any one of his crew) for a catering menu and details of how we can serve you at your event. In the meantime, check out our catering section (menu above) or click here.

Q. Where is the love?
A. Look all around you... especially at Lunchtime, our sandwiches, salads and soups have been lovingly made fresh - just for you.

WHEN

Q. When will you be changing the menu?
A. We just did! Check out the online menu for details. You can print it out to fax in your order!

Q. What's the best time to speak to someone about catering?
A. At any time, we're open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the telephone but just remember that between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. is our busiest time!

Q. When will you be hiring?
A. Chef Steve and his crew are a streamlined team who work fantastically together, occasionally there's a need to add another talent to the crew, if you're interested, speak to Chef Steve.
